Guidelines for Non-Enrolled Siblings and Multiple Parents/Caregivers Attending Class

It is our responsibility to maintain a safe and quality classroom environment.  Please refer to the following guidelines related to non-enrolled siblings and multiple parents/caregivers.

The Cuddle & Bounce curriculum is designed to be a one-on-one experience between the parent/caregiver and child.  Your full involvement during the 45 minute class is a key component to helping your child reach the desired developmental milestones and to give you both enjoyment during class.

Non-Enrolled Siblings:

Parents are expected to provide alternate childcare for siblings not enrolled in their Cuddle & Bounce class (our curricula for babies and new walkers).  Our Wiggle & Grow class (for toddlers and early preschoolers) is also open to both older and younger ages so families should plan to enroll all attending children between 3 months and 7 years old.  (*See below for information on our policy for Move and Groove and Kindermusik for the Young Child.)

Nevertheless, we understand that even with good planning, emergency situations arise.  If a sibling needs to attend your child’s class occasionally, we ask that you utilize the following suggestions:

Younger siblings/infants need to be secured in a car seat carrier or other device that allows the parent/caregiver to move freely and devote full attention to the child enrolled in the class.

Older siblings need to be able to sit quietly away from the class with activities that occupy their attention (examples: books to read, coloring pages with crayons.)  Electronic devices with visible lights and audible sound as well as other toys aren’t allowed due to the distractions they cause.  If you desire to have an older sibling participate in class with you during his or her visit, contact your teacher for detailed guidelines.

*All family members and/or friends bringing Move & Groove and Kindermusik for the Young Child (our curricula for older preschool and early school-age children) students to class are encouraged to participate in the Sharing Time portion -final 15 minutes- of those classes.

Multiple Parents/Caregivers:

We value the fact that multiple adults in your child’s life may want to participate in Kindermusik class.  This is encouraged; especially if a special adult –such as a grandparent visiting from out of town or a father/mother that has the day off from work– is willing to attend, we are happy to have them join you!

Please note: if your class becomes too crowded with multiple adults attending the class regularly, your teacher may ask families to develop a rotation plan so that parents/caregivers participate one-on-one with their child throughout the semester.  It is very important to ensure that there is enough room for proper movement during the class.  Movement paired with music is vital to learning; it is the foundation upon which Kindermusik’s curricula have been built.

We appreciate your understanding and attention to these guidelines in your Cuddle & Bounce or Wiggle & Grow class.  Again, please know that every decision made by NTC Kindermusik is made with our commitment to a safe and quality Kindermusik experience for all of our families.  Our relationships with Kindermusik International, Brownsburg Public Library, Richard A. Carlucci Recreation and Aquatic Center and our insurance company are also important to maintaining the integrity of our program.
