Kindermusik Move & Groove

4 years to 6 years and 11 months

From the moment you became a parent, you wanted the best for your child.  Now your “not-so-little” kid is exploding with ideas, questions and a BIG imagination.  Kindermusik Move & Groove classes provide the perfect outlet for your big kid to explore his creativity through music and movement.  Our activities use music to promote language, social-emotional skills, early math and literacy, physical coordination, creativity, and more! 

In each 45-minute class, pretend play activities are integrated with music to capture your child’s potential to learn.  We will investigate a wide variety of musical concepts, learn the basics of vocal development, play percussion instruments; and explore music, games, and stories from other cultures.  Your child will learn basic music vocabulary and notation, and will be introduced to influential composers and their work.  You’ll join the fun for the final activities to watch firsthand as your child begins to master musical terms and concepts, building a solid foundation for formal music instruction and success in school.  

A full session of Kindermusik Wiggle & Grow classes contains eight 45-minute lessons.

In this unit, we explore how music can elicit feelings, as well as how to express feeling through music. We start with facial expressions as they relate to music and build up to listening to and engaging with the music of one of the great masters of emotion, Ludwig Van Beethoven.
